This program will simulate how we move in athletic competition with attention paid to preparing the core, feet, hips, knees and shoulders for stress. No more of just running laps and then sitting down to stretch. We chose exercises that we know help prevent the risk of ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) knee injuries. When Can My Daughter Start Strength Training?
A girl can start resistance training in her youth. Some high schools have a policy that girls cannot lift weights until after their freshman year. This is unfair and it puts girls at a disadvantage and may predispose them to more injury. Go to our home page and click on
“Training Youth” for related articles and handouts. We dispel all the myths.
